Terms of Use — PetHelp

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the PetHelp application, you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

3. Eligibility and Minimum Age

The app is intended for persons aged 16 and over. If you are under 16, do not use the application.

4. Account, Credentials and Security

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately in case of unauthorised use.

5. How the App Works

PetHelp allows the publication of lost/found pet alerts, viewing of alerts in your area, and chat communication between users. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time for technical, legal or operational reasons.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Publish false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, illegal content or content that violates third-party rights.
• Use the app for discriminatory practices, harassment, spam, fraud or unlawful activity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data.
• Violate applicable laws, regulations or court orders.

7. User-Generated Content (Chats and Alerts)

7.1 User responsibility

All content published by users (including text, images, locations and descriptions in chats and alerts) is the sole responsibility of the person who published it. PetHelp is not responsible for the content, accuracy, legality or timeliness of information provided by users.

7.2 Moderation and removal

We may, but are not obliged to, review, moderate, remove or block content that violates these Terms, third-party rights or applicable law. Removal may occur without prior notice.

7.3 Reporting

You may report suspicious content or users through the support channels set out in section 2.

8. Content Licence

By publishing content on the app, you grant PetHelp a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide and perpetual licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute that content, strictly to the extent necessary to operate and provide the service.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

The app, its brand, layout, interface, text and other elements are protected by intellectual property rights. These Terms do not transfer to you any ownership rights in the app.

10. Third-Party Services

The app may integrate third-party services (e.g. authentication, storage, notifications, analytics and infrastructure). Use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies, for which PetHelp is not responsible.

11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

11.1 Availability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free availability or fitness for any particular purpose.

11.2 Third-party content

PetHelp is not responsible for content published by users, including in chats and alerts, or for any damage arising from the use of or reliance on such content.

11.3 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetHelp shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential damages, lost profits or data loss arising from use of the app.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PetHelp harmless from any claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your content or your breach of these Terms.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

Personal data processing is governed by PetHelp’s Privacy Policy.

14. Termination and Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app in case of breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, legal order or where necessary to protect the security of the platform and of third parties.

15. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The date of the last update will be shown at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after an update indicates acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The courts of [CITY/STATE] shall have exclusive jurisdiction, to the exclusion of any other, however privileged.
